Many friends on the Westside of LA say there has been no summer this year. So as Summer ends chronologically, the weather has felt very much the same for months. Moving into September is such a beautiful time though, as the energetic of Fall builds. The end of summer brings Burning Man and Bhakti Fest.
Bhakti Fest brings a much needed sanctuary for many people from all over the country. It is four days in the beauty of Joshua Tree. Four days of spiritual music, yoga, meditation and community. It is unlike anything many have experienced. I look forward to playing and teaching.
Saturday morning music and Meditation Workshop Sunday at noon.

Join Zat at Bhakti Fest in Joshua Tree Sept 9th-11th. Zat will be performing a sunrise set on Saturday morning. Such a beautiful time in the stunning scenery of Joshua tree.

Zat will also be teaching a meditation workshop in the Yogic Buddhist lineage. Sunday at 12 noon in the Breath-work building.

Zat and Truth-I host red Lantern Open Mic

Red Lantern is a unique open mic event co-created and hosted by Zat Baraka and Truth-I Manifest. Featuring fifteen 9-minute performance slots, as well as a featured artist playing a 25-minute set at 9pm, Red Lantern transforms ELR Cafe into an intimate den of beautiful music & great food.
This is the hippest open mic on the Westside!
This third episode of Red Lantern Open Mic will be even hotter! We are thrilled to announce that Jillian Speer will be the featured artist on August 4th, 2010. She plays at 9pm…
Red Lantern is quickly becoming a nexus for some of Westside LA’s most talented up and coming musicians. We’ve been drawing a great crowd of eager and supportive listeners, catalyzing fantastic performances by all our guest musicians.
Those wishing to play should arrive by 7pm to be sure to get on the list.
Red Lantern is switching to a Wednesday night.
